Tropical Dunes is located right at the edge of Fort Morgan protected Nature Reserve.

Fort Morgan is a very unique place. Explore the trails of the Bon Secour protected wildlife refuge whose 6000 acres of varied ecosystems are home to 373 species of birds. Walk on the migratory path of the monarch butterfly. Fish in the surf or nearby in the bay. Build sand castles in the sugar white beach. Explore the Civil War Fort made famous by Admiral Farragut's Command, "Damn the Torpedoes. Full Speed Ahead."

DIRECTIONS:

Our home is located in the Dunes, Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores.

1) Take 65 South for 133 miles

2) Take exit 37 and follow signs for 59 South

3) Take 59 South for about 50 miles (to Rt 182 - you will see a right turn immediately after a Burger King and Bruno's Supermarket on your right.

4) Turn right onto 180 (Fort Morgan Rd.) and go 19.5 miles

5) We are in the Dunes Subdivision (1st left after you pass the Fort Morgan Marina on your right)

6) Drive into the Dunes subdivision and continue straight towards the Gulf of Mexico - we are the only dark blue house (just to the right of the "T" end of the road.

OBS: Tropical Dunes address does not show at Mapquest. Please search for Fort Morgan Marina for directions on Mapquest (3358 Highway 180 Gulf Shores, Alabama 36542). The Marina is located across the Dunes Subdivision where Tropical Dunes is located.
